Professional and amateur music lovers alike will find in MixPad Multitrack Recording Software a high-end tool to mix and record audio tracks to produce music mash ups and professional mixing tapes in a straightforward and WYSIWYG environment. Apart from its obvious mixing capabilities, the program offers a wide range of audio effects and filters, as well as support for all well-known audio formats.
As soon as you open the program, you’ll be faced with its multitrack mixing workspace. Each track (to which you can add as many more as requested) displays the waveform graph of the audio file(s) it holds, which makes it even more intuitive all the editing and mixing process. You can expand the graphic as much as you need or hide if you want to make room for more tracks. Alternatively, if you are happy with the way your audio files sound and only want to mix them up, you can turn on the program’s virtual mixing desk and enjoy moving the knobs up and down.
You can add new tracks just by dragging them onto the program’s interface or you can record your own music and other audio via the program itself, and have those new tracks added to the mix right away. You won’t have to worry about audio formats, as this tool supports all the most widely used ones, uncompressed or otherwise.

If you’ve used a professional audio editor before, you’ll find no problem in dealing with the program’s audio effects. All the usual suspects are there, together with some nice-looking graphical EQs. MixPad supports VST plugins also in case you want to add your own effects to the program’s list. Furthermore, it comes with a free and extensive library of audio sounds and clips to help you add that little extra to your mixing tapes.
The results can be exported to your favorite audio format (from uncompressed WAV to heavily compressed MP3 files), burnt to disc, or uploaded to SoundCloud, Dropbox, and Google Drive. If you want to use the program’s full capabilities you’ll be asked to pay a license fee that you may find to be not that cheap, but remember that you are dealing with a pro tool developed by experts in audio recording, editing, and mixing utilities.
